The Great Florida Teach-In is an annual job fair organized by the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Educator Recruitment, Development and Retention. It provides a convenient forum that enables certified teachers seeking employment in Florida to obtain interviews with Florida school district and Florida charter school personnel responsible for hiring teachers.
The 2017 Teach-In is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rosen Plaza Hotel on International Drive in Orlando, Florida. The Department does not hire or interview teachers; accordingly, the Department cannot guarantee that teachers attending the Teach-In will be interviewed or offered employment.
In addition to the main recruitment fair, the 2017 Great Florida Teach-In will feature a college graduate night on March 20 at 5:00 p.m. The college graduate night will provide graduates from April of 2016 to August of 2017 the opportunity to meet and interview with Florida’s school districts and charter schools.

Attendance is restricted to educators who possess a valid Florida Professional Certificate, Florida Temporary Certificate, or Florida Statement of Eligibility indicating they are eligible in any of the following subject areas:

- Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
- Foreign Languages
- Reading (Certification or Endorsement)
- Science: General

- Science: Earth/Space Science
